The Pink Book: Making Health Communication Programs Work

The National Cancer Institute’s Pink Book provides step-by-step guidance in planning, developing, carrying out, and evaluating health communication programs. The book offers readers information about conducting communication research and the pros and cons of using focus groups, in-depth interviews, and surveys. It concludes with ready-to-use forms, scripts, and samples to create and evaluate successful communication plans.

Health Communication Materials Network

The Media/Materials Clearinghouse Health Communication Materials Network (HCMN) is an international network of professionals who specialize in the development and use of health communication materials, such as pamphlets, posters, video, radio, novelty items, flipcharts, cue cards, training materials, and electronic media. HCMN provides a forum for health communication specialists to share ideas, information, and samples of health communication materials with their colleagues and to seek advice and suggestions from others working in this field.
